Girls are awesome. They are powerful and strong. But, many don’t know this or live in circumstances that keep them from being their absolute and amazing selves. Did you know that 1 in 4 girls will not finish high school? Did you know that 78% of girls are unhappy with their bodies by age 17? And that 3 in every ten girls become pregnant before the age of 20? Or that 1 in 5 girls will be a victim of childhood sexual abuse? This is why we have decided to act upon it and make a difference.

Since 1948, Girls Inc. has gone through many milestones to become the organization that they are today, which supports 85-100 girls a day. This amazing organization supports girls and helps them meet society’s challenges by providing a safe place for them to express their interests and opinions, build relationships with adult mentors, build curricula, join learning activities, and most importantly, thrive.

Besides building personal and professional confidence, the girls learn to love themselves during their time at the organization. We are extremely inspired by the Girls Inc. of Washington county and want to support them in making a difference for these amazing girls.
